Veeramachaneni Ramakrishna Diet Plan For Weight Loss (Liquid & Solid)

Mr.Veeramachaneni Ramakrishna Rao is an accountant by profession, but he has gained immense following in the Telugu states, thanks to his diet chart for weight loss.

He claims to have lost around 30 kgs in just 3 months by following a special diet known as KETO diet or Ketogenic diet plan, which is already popular in the western world.

How Does Veeramachaneni Ramakrishna’s Diet Plan Work?

The VRK diet aka Keto diet suggests eating high-fat, moderate protein and low carb foods.

And, when you deprive your body of carbs, which are the main source of energy for the body, it then uses the stored fat in the body to meet its energy needs, thereby allowing you to lose weight superfast.

He used to weigh about 123 kg earlier and have tried different diets and exercises to lose weight but failed miserably. Later, he followed the keto diet, by consuming 70-100 gms of fat, 3 lemons, 4 liters of water and 1 multi-vitamin tablet per day.

He also claims that his diet not only helps in losing weight, but also reverses Type 2 diabetes.

The diet plan is divided into 2 types

  1. Liquid Diet Plan
  2. Solid Diet Plan

Veeramachaneni Ramakrishna Liquid Diet Plan for Weight Loss

Everyone should start with the liquid diet plan first. You can follow this liquid diet for as long as you want or comfortable with.

And, remember that you’ll lose more weight during this period when compared with the solid diet.

  1. 70 to 100 gms of FAT (Choose any of these – Coconut oil, olive oil, ghee, butter, cheese)
  2. 3 Lemons
  3. 4 Liters of Water
  4. 2 Multi-vitamin tablets

Sample Meal Plan

You can choose any of the suggested oils as a fat source. VRK sir recommends Coconut oil as it is the best of all.

  • Take 500 ml warm water and add 20-30 gms of FAT (oil) and drink it. This should be repeated multiple times in a day until the recommended 70-100 gms fat is consumed.
  • You should take 2 multi-vitamin tablets during this diet, one in the morning and another in the evening.
  • Try to drink 4 liters of water per day. You can use 2 tbsp of curd per 1 liter of water and 1 lemon for better taste.

You can follow this liquid diet for as long as you’re comfortable and there is no problem in doing so. There are people who did it continuously for 1 month without any health issues.

Veeramachaneni Ramakrishna Solid Diet Plan for Weight Loss

Once you completed the liquid diet plan, you can move to eating solid foods that are allowed on the diet.

  1. Start with a glass of lukewarm water with 1 lime juice
  2. Breakfast: Egg omelette or boiled eggs with vegetables (max 6 eggs allowed per day)
  3. Mid-Morning Snack: Clear soup (vegetables/chicken/mutton) with any of the recommended fats (I prefer coconut oil). Do take a multi-vitamin tablet.
  4. Lunch: Vegetable curry or Chicken/Fish/Prawns/Mutton curry with sea salt or rock salt. Cook it with pepper and olive oil.
  5. Evening Snack: Veg Salad
  6. Dinner: Soup with fat (make sure you finish your daily target of 70 gms fat per day by this meal)

Along with this, make sure to drink liters of water with 3 lemons per day. You can add 2 spoonfuls of curd (yogurt) for taste.

Foods Allowed on the Diet

  • Meat (Chicken/Fish/Mutton/Prawns): 250 gms for women and 300 gms for men
  • Eggs: 0 to 6 max
  • Dairy: Paneer, Tofu (soya paneer)
  • In Limits: 1 small tomato, 1 small onion, 1 medium sized carrot
  • Vegetables: Ladyfingers, Brinjal, Cabbage, Cauliflower
  • Dry Fruits: 10 Almonds, 10 Walnuts, 10 Pistachios
  • Seeds: 5 tsp Flax Seeds, 5 tsp Chia seeds
  • FAT: Coconut oil, Olive oil, Butter, Ghee, Cheese
  • Spices: Ginger-garlic paste, sea salt, chilly, pepper, turmeric and home made masala powder

Foods Not Allowed on the Diet

  • White rice
  • Sugar & sweeteners
  • White bread
  • Whole wheat
  • All fast foods
  • All remaining vegetables
  • All fruits except strawberries, raspberries and blueberries

Yes it works.

This is my day 12 and and according to the scale, i have lost about 11 lbs.. i am on a one meal , and eat every night. I am a diabetic and i have stopped my meds on the first day and see a definite improvement.. although my fasting sugar levels are fluctuating and not exactly where i want them to be, but evening/post prandial are very good.. i will get complete blood test in two weeks and will post the findings..

Most importantly, I am feeling good. There is no hunger or craving/drop in energy levels, so this diet can be sustained easily for months. People started noticing the difference in looks without you having to tell them you lost weight :), but i know its too early.. The most important goal for me is not weight but to burn the stubborn belly fat and i m seeing improvements .

He also openly challenged all doctors.

His videos are highly inspiring, any person who is listening to him immediately gets inspired. His an ardent orator, motivator in delivering his thoughts(about this diet). The main point in this diet is not only to lose weight but also eliminate diabetes,extreme variations in blood pressure, depression, and a lot more diseases we wanted to get rid verh badly.

My mom was watching all his videos on YouTube, got inspired and started using. My Dad supported her in all ways.

Main ingredients are lemons and pure coconut oil. Don't use any company's products instead get dried coconuts from local vendors, go to oil extracting units and get oil from your coconuts. They will not charge you for their machine because oil cake will be taken by them. This is the most effective oil.

Daily take three lemons with a glass a water early morning, afternoon and night. (Dont add salt, sugar, honey etc..) Pure lemon water is to be taken.

Take 40–60 grams of coconut oil per day. Eat only selective lightly boiled vegetables, paneer, Eggs can be taken for energy.Take multivitamin tablets. I don't know about non-vegetarian food which can be taken. No kinds of carbohydrates should be taken. No rice, wheat,…

Three months-diet plan.

My mom stopped using 4–6 tablets prescribed by doctors.Sugar levels are normal. Bp is normal. Lost 10 kgs. Due to thyroid she couldn't lose more.

My dad didn't follow diet but my mom did only healthy food - more with jowar(jonnalu im telugu) ,wheat, pure rice-not at all polished, foxtail millet with three lemons, three spoons of coconut oil per day. Within 30days, sugar levels which used to be 200+ became normal. Bp used to be high which is now normal,my father has some psychological problems which has high effect on pounami amavasya days but this month, everything is normal, no shouting, scolding, anger at home. My father used to take 5 tablets for all of the above diseases but now taking only 2.

Even after the diet we shouldn't eat whatever we wish but should keep an eye on what we are eating. Immediately after the diet if you eat heavy icecream, it is of no use.

Hi… I have seen and gone deep in to the details of diet as I am an undergraduate in biochemistry. So I can understand the intricacies of the diet. Speaking simply, it's a modified keto diet, but he deviced this on his own by reading many lots of books. His diet's principle is as follows:

Low carbs and medium fat diet. What happens in this condition is… the reserved fat which we have procured and stored in our body for many years will be converted to glucose by a cycle called GLUCONEOGENESIS. This facilitates loss of fat. You may get doubt, whether gluconeogenesis can't occur under normal conditions? Usually it won't because, everytime we eat, we are giving calories to our body more than required. So there is no chance for our body to convert fat to glucose for our energy requirements.

I have been following this diet for the past 4 days. I have observed a decrease of about 4 kgs. I am planning to do it for more 15 days. A small suggestion from my side is just get a test done called ketone bodies test on the start and ending day.
